A cold front is moving towards southeast Texas, where plenty of warm Gulf moisture has been pooling. Despite the atypical time of day, storms are expected to organize and intensify through this morning. A squall line could form and roll east across southeast Texas and into southwest Louisiana by this afternoon or evening. The Houston metro area will be most at risk between about noon and 2 pm.
