Australian Weekly Weather Replay

The south-west of Western Australia saw multiple cold fronts this week. These fronts brought about good rainfall to some locations with gauges registering 50-100mm. Top three places were Worsley Downs (101.8mm), Huntly (84.7mm) and Jarrahdale (80.4mm).

Tasmania, Victoria and southern parts of South Australia also got some rainfall as these fronts pushed east. However with the colder air and moisture came decent snowfalls.

This gave Alpine resorts reason to celebrate.

The cold weather has also meant some wildlife have had to eat some frozen greens.

Storm chasers got a nice winter surprise as Brisbane CBD just missed out on a thunderstorm Saturday night and Melbourne also got close to seeing some thunderstorms on Monday night as a cold front advanced across the state.

Brisbane BoM radar and with lightning on Saturday 15th July 08:10UTC.

Meanwhile our friends in New Zealand have been experiencing the impacts of a deep low pressure system which has brought about heavy rain and strong wind gusts.
